World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your items is an essential part of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enhancements.
They also provide bonus effects and enhancements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
If a weapon is upgraded, it gets an initial damage bonus as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects and others provide additional benefits. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. The majority of them require that the item has an upgrade slot available and meets certain requirements. When the weapon reaches its maximum level of improvement and is then reforged to add different bonuses and effects, or to improve specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be applied at once, and their effects vary depending on the quality of the weapon.
Two Blacksmiths are able to perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
It is generally recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon prior to any other gear, because it helps maximise DPS. This is especially applicable to enchantments, which can be very effective in boosting the weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to boost the effectiveness of specific weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, such as more damage or an enhancement to the appearance of. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as quest rewards.
Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In item upgrades of cases the armor will be upgraded to the next level after an upgrade is applied. Most types of armor are upgradeable, however some items (such as the starter armour found in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades increase the item's defense or strength by a small amount. However, certain upgrade components can give significant increases to defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an item that is epic.
Certain upgrades offer specific abilities that can be activated when wearing armor. item upgrading can be helpful in combat, for instance giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades provide passive effects that can be beneficial like the ability to reduce damage while wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.
Upgrades to armor could require multiple attempts, depending on the type of armor. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt would result in an Dragonscale armor with a base defense of 67-77.

It does not alter glyphs, enchantments, cursed weapons or armor or other items that are created to solve hazards rooms.
The item, which appears like a newt's eyes appears to alter your vision in a manner that goes beyond simply narrowing your field of vision. This trinket, in its current level, boosts the health gained by drinking healing potions and wells of life by X%, and gives you mind-sight on enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with the Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you've completed the Mastery Cave. You will find them when you defeat Monsters, and in chests and crates. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
When you have a trinket that requires upgrading then place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will have a random effect on the trinket either prolonging its life or enhancing its effects. You can reuse the trinket as often as you want but it will always have an effect that is new.
You can upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. It will cost you 6 energy and increase the trinket's power by a small amount.
